Integrative Psychiatry
ABOUT ME
Ketamine Therapy
Hi there, my name is Emily. I’m a dual board-certified Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner offering integrative mental health care for people navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, OCD, life transitions, and personal growth. My approach is grounded in the connection between the mind, body, nervous system, and lived experience. I take time to understand what matters to you, what may be getting in the way, and how to support the person you are becoming. Treatment planning is individualized and may include medication management, ketamine-assisted therapy, mindfulness, somatic and nervous system-based practices, lifestyle support, psychedelic harm reduction, and collaboration with your broader care team. My work is informed by the belief that growth begins with awareness — including a more embodied understanding of your nervous system, your patterns, and the ways you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you. Together, we work toward aligning with what matters most while developing tools to support meaningful growth and change

Medications can serve as valuable tools when provided within a comprehensive approach to mental health care. I will review how a medication works, discuss important considerations, and support you in making a decision that feels right for you.
-
Deprescribing is a thoughtful, collaborative process for people who are considering reducing or discontinuing psychiatric medication. Together, we’ll review the pros and cons, timing, supports, and create a gradual tapering plan that prioritizes safety, comfort, and ongoing monitoring.

When used intentionally within a framework of preparation and integration, ketamine can support symptom relief and serve as a catalyst for healing and meaningful change. For treatment-resistant depression, research supports an initial induction series of 4–6 sessions; however, treatment is individualized and collaborative, with recommendations adjusted based on response and clinical needs.
I primarily work with intramuscular (IM) ketamine, which can offer a comfortable experience in a less medicalized setting. Intravenous (IV) ketamine may be more appropriate for individuals with complex medical needs or high anxiety, since the dose can be adjusted or stopped during the session if needed. When appropriate, I also incorporate somatic supports such as sound, breath work, and movement to deepen preparation, regulation, and integration.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Integrative psychiatry is a whole-person approach that understands mental health in the context of your lived experiences, biology, lifestyle, relationships, and values.
Treatment is collaborative and may include medication when helpful, lifestyle support, mindfulness or somatic practices, and attention to the relational patterns that shape how you feel, cope, and connect.
-
Psychedelic harm reduction is a supportive, clinically informed approach for people who are curious about or planning to use psychedelics outside of clinical treatment. While psychedelics are being studied for trauma, depression, existential distress, and personal exploration, most psychedelics other than ketamine are not currently FDA-approved.
If you are considering a psychedelic experience, you may have questions about risks, contraindications, medication interactions, preparation, and integration. With advanced medical and therapeutic training in psychedelic medicine, I offer informed, nonjudgmental guidance to support safety, clarity, and meaning-making.
Please note: I do not provide, prescribe, or facilitate non-FDA-approved psychedelic substances.

Absolutely. Care is best when it is coordinated and your team is working together. As long as I have a Release of Information signed, I am available for ongoing communication as needed.
